Two people died, five were hospitalized in a fire in a synthetic padding workshop in the industrial zone in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent on the morning of May 1, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
Reportedly, the fire was reported at 7:01 a.m.. Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 7:04, the fire was localized at 7:45 and extinguished at 8:09.
The presumed cause of the fire is breaching the technological process at the production unit.
11 units of primary equipment and 6 units of specialized equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The fire damaged about 700 square meters of roof area, as well as the company's products.
The leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the city and district emergency departments, as well as representatives of other agencies arrived at the scene of the emergency, with an investigation launched.
