President signed a decree terminating extramural training in Uzbekistan from the new academic year. From the 2025/2026 academic year, applications for extramural training will no longer be accepted, however quotas for alternative forms of education, except for full-time education, will gradually increase.
Meanwhile, the total admission for such trainings should not exceed 50% of the admission for full-time education. Admission of students in excess of the set limit will be considered a gross violation of licensing requirements and conditions and will be grounds for the cancellation of the university's license.
Scientific and pedagogical personnel in the graduate program will also be able to be trained in such forms. Universities will be allowed to organize training in an optimized full-time form (part-time education), based on a credit-modular system, as part of alternative education.
