President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and will visit Moscow on May 8-9 on a working visit to attend the ceremonial events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in WWII, and also hold a number of bilateral meetings, the presidential press service said.
In the previous two years, the President of Uzbekistan also attended events held in Moscow on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory.
According to TASS, the leaders of 29 countries will attend the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9.
At the highest level will be represented Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Venezuela, Vietnam, Guinea-Bissau, Egypt, Zimbabwe, China, Congo, Cuba, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Palestine, Serbia, Slovakia, Equatorial Guinea and Ethiopia.
