Major fire broke out at a carriage repair depot near the Northern Rail Station in Tashkent on the night of May 16. The Emergency Situations branch received a report of the fire at 23:58.
The flames were visible for several kilometers. Residents of nearby areas reported a strong smell of burning.
Fire crews arrived at the scene at 0:03. The fire was extinguished at 2:48, the Emergency Situations Department said.
There were no casualties as a result of the fire. Other details have not yet been disclosed. The causes of the incident are being studied and the damage is being assessed.
