Abdukahhor Tukhtaev, who served as mayor of Tashkent’s Olmazor district since April 2017, has appointed as the Minister of Construction, the district mayor’s office said.
Earlier since September 2016 Abdukahhor Tukhtaev, 61, worked as Jizzakh city mayor, in 2005-2011 he was the mayor of Tashkent city.
In 1996-1999, he held the post of mayor of Tashkent’s Shaykhantahur district, in 1999-2001 - deputy mayor of Tashkent, responsible for construction, in 2001-2005 - first deputy mayor. In 2013-2016 he worked as deputy chief of UzLITIneftgas, a design institute, subsidiary of UzbekNefteGaz.
