On June 22, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Vatican stationed in Moscow Celestino Migliore.
The Minister received credentials and congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment, the press service of the ministry said.
After the ceremony The sides discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including within the framework of interreligious dialogue.
The sides underscored that during 25 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the Vatican have accumulated positive experience of partnership which is aimed at strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between the people of different nationalities and faiths.
