A fistfight broke out among schoolgirls at School No. 11 in the Altynkul district of Andijan province, the Zor TV channel reported on its “Bu Kun” program.

The incident took place on October 13 during a break between lessons. A dispute among three girls in grade 6-V escalated into a physical fight.

Video of the brawl has circulated on social media. It shows the girls fighting and hitting each other.

Umida Mamajonova, deputy school director, said the quarrel began as an argument among the pupils. The girls later regretted their behavior, apologized to their teachers and made up, she said.

“It was just an argument between three of our girls in 6-V. But they said, ‘Sorry, teacher, it won’t happen again, we didn’t realize,’ and they all made up,” she said.

After the incident, the class teacher was relieved of the post. The pupils’ parents were summoned to the school and held administratively liable under Article 47 of the Administrative Liability Code, which covers failure to meet obligations to raise and educate children, and committing violence against them in the process.

Earlier, media reported that a fifth-grade pupil in Surkhandarya province was found to have driven a neighbor’s Spark car.
