Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand (stationed in Moscow) Ian Alexander Hill.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the Ambassador presented his credentials to the Minister, who congratulated him on his appointment to Uzbekistan and wished him success. The sides discussed the state of affairs and promising areas of cooperation in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.
Iain Alexander Hill, who in 2009-2012 was the New Zealand ambassador to Uzbekistan, shared his views on advancing the bilateral cooperation.
Special attention was paid to building up the legal framework for boosting trade and economic relations, which will facilitate the intensification of mutually beneficial contacts between the businesses of the two countries.
