Graduate of the 1st Tashkent College of Law Akmal Abdurakhmanov died after allegedly being beaten by his peers in the evening of June 28 in Kashgar Massif (C-4) of Yunusabad District.

Information about the death of a young man was posted on Facebook. Eyewitnesses wrote about a fighting between young people. Police and ambulance arrived immediately, but medics couldn't save Akmal's life.

As the Tashkent police clarified at first a criminal case was initiated on part 1 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code (intentional heavy bodily harm) following the incident. However, after Akmal's death in the Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery, the case was re-qualified for part 3 of Article 104 (deliberate grave bodily injury, which resulted in the death of the victim).

"The investigative-operative group of the Yunusabad district police is conducting an investigation into this case. The names and the number of suspects will not be disclosed in the interest of the investigation and for the safety of witnesses".

On the same article of the Criminal Code are being conducted operative and investigative measures on the death in early June of Zhasurbek Ibragimov , a student of the Tashkent City Medical College named after Borovsky.
