Today a delegation of the European Union headed by Stefano Manservisi Director General of the European Commission's Directorate for International Development and Cooperation (DEVCO) will arrive in Uzbekistan, the delegation will be joined by Peter Burian, EU Special Representative for Central Asia, the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan.
Stefano Manservis will hold a number of meetings with representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan to discuss priority areas for cooperation, including agriculture, economic development, SMEs, water management, energy and border management.
The delegation will also hold a number of meetings with the diplomatic missions of the EU member states in Uzbekistan, as well as development organizations such as the Asian Development Bank, JICA, KOICA, the United Nations Development Program, the UNICEF Fund, the World Bank to discuss key development issues and opportunities for strengthening cooperation.
