The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on Wednesday handed over copies of his credentials to the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Gazeta.uz reported to the Uzbek Embassy in Beijing.

In this position, he replaced Daniyar Kurbanov, who worked as head of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan for five years. Earlier, Bakhtiyor Saidov was the first deputy chairman of the board of "Uzbekengilsanoat".

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation and prospects for its development in areas of mutual interest.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached after the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China in May.
