Bobir Islamov has been appointed as chairman of the Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources, a source in the government said.
Before, Bobir Islamov worked as first deputy chairman of the Committee for Geology. Islamov (33 years old) graduated from the Tashkent Technical University, holds a master’s egree in geology and exploration of ores and other minerals.
From 2002 to 2008 he worked as a technician, technician-geologist at Apartak mining company. In 2008-2010 he worked in various positions in the scientific and practical center, Geology of Precious and Non-Ferrous Metals. In 2010-2015 he was Director at GosGeoInformCenter, in 2015-2016 - Director at Scientific Research Institute of Mineral Resources.
