Hotambek Shakirov was appointed as mayor of the newly created Tashkent district of the Tashkent province, a source in the provincial mayor’s office said.
Prior to this, Hotambek Shakirov (47 years old) was deputy chairman of the Tax Committee since March 2015.
He is a graduate of Tashkent Electrotechnical Institute of Communications (in 1993) and Tashkent University of Economy (in 2004).
The Tashkent district was established within the territory of Zangia district in Tashkent province by the July 20 Presidential decree.
