President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today hosted the visiting Kazakhstan’s Defense Minister Saken Zhasuzakov, Uzbekistan 24 reported.
Welcoming the guest, Shavkat Mirziyoyev underscored "the dynamically developing fruitful cooperation between the two countries" and emphasized that cooperation is advancing in all areas due to regular high levels meetings.
Military and military-technical cooperation was stated as an "important and promising area" in bilateral affairs. The counterparts also reportedly discussed the issues of furthering effective cooperation between the two defense ministries, including in the field of industrial cooperation and training of military personnel.
Minister Zhasuzakov expressed gratitude to the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
He emphasized the interest and readiness to strengthen beneficial partnership in the military and military-technical fields.
