Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov yesterday met with State Minister for External Affairs of India Mubashar Jawed Akbar in New Dehli.

The counterparts reportedly discussed the current state and prospects for advancing the Uzbek-Indian ties, some international and regional issues.

Positive dynamics and new impetus was given to bilateral ties during the high level meeting within the framework of the SCO Council of Heads of State in June.

It was underscored that Uzbekistan and India attach great importance to strengthening of mutually beneficial ties in trade, economic and investment fields. In this regard, an Uzbekistan-India Business Forum involving major companies and firms of the two countries would create a real opportunity for launching joint projects in various sectors.

The counterparts also exchanged views on advancing cooperation within the UN, SCO and other international organizations.
