On August 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on increasing wages for budget -financed organizations, benefits and pensions.
The decree is aimed at "expanding the scale of measures aimed at improving the standard of living of the public, continuing the policy course of consistently increasing incomes and improving their social protection, as well as additional incentives for teachers and medical workers."
According to the document, from September 1, the pensions and benefits will be raised by 15%. Meanwhile, the decree has set the following:
- basic amount for calculating pensions is 428 thousand soums per month;
- minimum amount of old-age pension is 834 thousand soums per month;
- minimum amount of disability pension is 920 thousand soums per month;
- amounts of other pensions and benefits are separate.
From October 1:
The wages of medical workers employed in budget-financed organizations, as well as teaching staff employed in preschool, general education, secondary specialized, vocational and extracurricular educational institutions and organizations, Muruvvat boarding houses, orphanages and Mehribonlik houses, children's resorts will increase by 15%;
The wages of employees of budget-financed organizations will be raised by 10%, with the exception of employees specified above;
The minimum wage will be 1.155 million soums per month;
The basic calculated value will be raised to 375 thousand soums.
Employers are recommended to increase the wages in accordance with the minimum wage, ensuring the payment of wages not lower than the minimum wage established by legal acts.
