President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev continued negotiations in an expanded format. Members of official delegations, heads of ministries and large companies took part in them.

The delegations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed issues of further development of socio-political, trade-economic, investment cooperation between the two countries, strengthening relations in transport, communication, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.

Following the talks, the Presidents signed the Joint Statement in which they confirmed the intention of the two countries to continue developing cooperation in the entire range of affairs.

Afterwards the two leaders oversaw the signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in the military-technical sphere, the Framework Agreement on some issues of cooperation in the oil and power industry.

The sides also signed a Road Map on cooperation in the field of water relations and a Road Map for reconstruction and modernization of checkpoints, highways and improvement works of the area adjacent to the Uzbek-Kazakh boundary.

The Customs Committee of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the fight against smuggling and violations of customs legislation.

The chiefs of JSC Uzbekistan Railways and JSC Kazakhstan Railways signed an Agreement on Strategic Cooperation.

Memorandums of Understanding on development of interregional cooperation were signed between the governor of Navoi province and the governor  of Kyzylorda province , the governor  of Tashkent province  and the governor of South Kazakhstan province , as well as the governor  of Syrdarya province  and the governor  of South Kazakhstan province .

The Memorandum on Cooperation in trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian areas between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Governor  of Aktobe province  of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Memorandum on Cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres between the governor  of Djizak province  and the governor  of South-Kazakhstan province , Memorandum between Uzbekistan Information Agency of and Kazinform Information Agency.
