President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in New York City to attend the 72nd of the UN General Assembly high level events. The President was at the John F. Kennedy airport received by the chair of the Uzbek-US Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will today on the first day of the general debate deliver the Uzbekistan’s National Statement.
The theme for this year’s debate is ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’. The President will also join other world leaders at the welcoming reception to be hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and hold a bilateral meeting with the UN chief, as well as the Managing Director of the IMF Christine Lagarde, the World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim.
President Mirziyoyev will also take part in a massive Uzbek-American business forum.
