Uzbek Senate at the 12th plenary meeting passed the Ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State Border Bill. The agreement was signed in Bishkek on September 5.
The bill was passed by the Legislative Chamber on September 28 and will come into force after signing by the President of Uzbekistan. The provisions of this agreement delineated 1170.53 km of the state border.
Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed the bill on Ratification of the Agreement into law on October 2. On 5-6 October, the Kyrgyz leader will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan.
