President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today left for Turkey on a state visit. During the high-level talks in Ankara, the sides are expected to discuss the ways to expand Uzbek-Turkish ties in political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication and other fields, collaboration to counteract global and regional challenges and threats as well as exchange opinions on international issues.

The delegation of Uzbekistan will also visit the city of Istanbul.

During the visit, it is planned to adopt a Joint Statement of the Heads of State and sign a solid package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental accords aimed at further advancing bilateral relations in various fields, including the creation of favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries, stepping up tourist exchanges and cultural and humanitarian contacts.
