President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today arrived in Turkey at the Ankara Esenboğa Airport where he was welcomed by the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ and other high-ranking officials.

President Erdoğan and President Mirziyoyev will have a bilateral meeting and co-chair a meeting between delegations on October 25. Following the signing ceremony of agreements, President Erdoğan and President Mirziyoyev will meet again at an official dinner.

Various aspects of the Turkey-Uzbekistan relations will be discussed during the talks and views will be exchanged on regional and global developments.

It is the first Presidential visit from Uzbekistan to Turkey after nearly 20 years and is of historic importance. It will contribute to reinforcing the cooperation between our two friendly and brotherly countries in all areas- in particular economy and culture.

President Mirziyoyev is expected to pay a visit to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and meet with Speaker İsmail Kahraman, with a Uzbekistan-Turkey business forum scheduled for October 26 in Istanbul as part of the visit.
