Alisher Sultanov, by the President’s decree, has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Complex for geology, fuel and energy, chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industry, replacing  Gulomjon Ibragimov, a source in the government said. He will concurrently hold the post of chairman of the board at UzbekNeftegaz, which he has held since the summer of 2015.

As reported earlier Gulomjon Ibragimov, who served as deputy PM since December, has been named as interim Tashkent province governor replacing Shukurullo Babaev, who was dismissed due to "serious shortcomings in work and reporting falsified figures."
