Rolling stock of the future skyrail ring line will be produced in Uzbekistan, Oybek Khudoikulov, the deputy chairman of Uzbekistan Railways/head of Tashkent Metro Company announced at the meeting of International press club.
He said that the production of cars will be carried out by the Tashkent plant for construction and repair of cars. "On this matter, we visited two plants in Russia. We have our own plant for production of passenger cars, we will establish production of suitable cars locally, "he said.
Oybek Khudoikulov added that the old cars of the Tashkent metro had been completely restored and re-equipped, so that their life was extended for another 15 years.
The chief engineer of the Tashkent Metro Bakhtiyor Sadykov told about the plans for installing the door frame metal detectors in metro.
"Now we are choosing which door frames we will buy. If you noticed, two or three versions of door frames were installed at Bunyodkor station, they passed trial tests," he said.
Chief engineer of the skyrail ring line project Eduard Kan said that before the construction of the skyrail ring line an "extensive study of foreign experience" was conducted.
"Our specialists traveled to Moscow, studied the same overpass metro on Butovo line. Chinese experts were invited to share experience and technologies, and now an advanced study of modern world technologies is being conducted so that our skyrail becomes even better than foreign projects, "he said.
