Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov yesterday met with the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Rashid Alimov, the ministry said.
The SCO Secretary-General will attend the Central Asia: One Past and a Common Future, Cooperation for Sustainable Development and Mutual Prosperity conference under the auspices of the United Nations on November 10-11, 2017 to be hosted by Samarkand.
The sides exchanged views on the agenda of the conference and the practical aspects of the participation of the SCO and its bodies in ensuring security and sustainable development in the Central Asian region.
The sides also discussed promising areas for further development of the SCO.
