The Interior of Uzbekistan Major-General Pulat Bobojonov held a working meeting with his Russian counterpart General of Police Vladimir Kolokoltsev in Moscow.

Kolokoltsev noted that currently cooperation of the interior affairs bodies of Russia and Uzbekistan is dynamically developing.

In particular, the sides commended the creation of Coordination Working Group which studies topical issues of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement.

While, Kolokoltsev pointed to the need to step up work on labor migration issues in the format of already functioning joint groups.

He emphasized that migration issues are largely linked with extremism and terrorism.

The Russian side expressed its readiness to continue to offer education programs for Uzbek specialists and advanced courses in areas of fighting against crime.

Pulat Bobojonov expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will strengthen and develop.
