President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday visited the Zangiata district in Tashkent province, the President’s press service reported.

Mirziyoyev got acquainted with Highway Logistics center, its high-end technologies, transportation system, loading and delivery of products and gave instructions on the use of modern technologies in harvesting and storing of agricultural products.

He said that such centers need to be built in each province. He was presented the projects aimed at enhancing the export potential of Tashkent province, growing, storage and processing of fruits and vegetables, development of leather and footwear industry, and organization of greenhouse farms for 2018-2019.

He also visited Fayzli mahalla in Yangiyul, where he was presented with the draft general plan of Yangiyul city, program to repair apartment buildings and improve the services by private homeowners' associations and also talked with the residents.

Projects for reconstruction and development of city sewer networks, improvement of drinking water supply in Kibray and Zangiata districts, improvement of the heating system in Chirchik city were also presented here.

He instructed officials to carry out full repair of multi-storied houses in Yangiyul, construction of 12 more 7-stroried buildings, park, market, supermarket and a bridge.

In Uzbekistan measures are being taken to efficiently use the buildings of professional colleges that are vacated following the transition to 11-year education.

The President was presented projects for effective use of buildings of a former professional in Akkurgan district, in particular the projects on organization of youth training center,  community center,  shopping center in the building of Akkurgan Construction and Public Utilities College.

The principles of fairly and transparently must be observed When the empty facilities selling. For this, it is necessary to set up e-bidding, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

In addition, Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the Yangiyul hospital, where he visited patients in the departments of eye diseases and cardiology, and pointed to the need to reconstruct the hospital.

He also visited the former Kanop plant in Kuyichirchik district, where he was briefed about the state of readiness of agricultural machineries, the planned irrigation, land reclamation and agrotechnical activities.

In Kuyichirchik district in 2018-2020, it is planned to implement a project to set up a cluster with a full cycle of production of ready-made garments, with $ 59 million worth of investments to be drawn for this purpose. This year, over 60 such projects are expected to be implemented in Uzbekistan.
