Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the Jan. 5 extraordinary session of Tashkent province Council of People's Deputies, ordered the Prosecutor General and the Interior Minister to sack the provincial regional prosecutor and the chief of police.
Provincial prosecutor Ulugbek Sunnatov, who replaced Jamshid Fayziev in autumn of 2017, was dismissed. Before in 2014-2017 Sunnatov served as the Deputy Prosecutor General.
Also, the chief of Tashkent Province Police Department colonel Saidkarim Nishanbaev, who served as Deputy Interior Minister from March 2016 until March 2017, was also dismissed.
According to the source, the dismissal of these two executives was due to failure to fulfill the assigned tasks.
