Botirjon Asadov has been appointed as the first deputy foreign minister of Uzbekistan, the ministry said. Today he was presented to the ministry’s collegium.

Botirjon Asadov served as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea until the spring of 2017. In May, he became the member of the Senate, deputy chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism.

On June 20, he was elected as one of the four deputy chairmen of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
