Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan intend to conclude a tourist visa exemption agreement that will allow foreigners to visit both states, said today the Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly at the 17th meeting of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan intergovernmental cooperation commission.
The minister added that often foreign tourists who come to Kazakhstan wish to visit the historical sights in Uzbekistan, and those who come to Uzbekistan want to visit the mausoleum of Khoja-Ahmet Yassaui in Turkestan and Astana city.
Now the two countries need to sign an agreement and issue a government decree.
