US$ 130 million project for manufacturing of Hyundai trucks, initiated by the South Korean Evergreen Motors and Posco Daewoo, will be arranged in Kokand free economic zone (FEZ), UzA said.
Deal on mass production of Hyundai cars was reached within the framework of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Seoul.
The Kokand FEZ, created by the Jan 12, 2018 decree of the President of Uzbekistan, aims to attract direct investments of foreign and local investors and creation of scientific and production facilities for standardization, certification and labeling of products in line with international standards.
