President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today had a telephone conversation with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the presidential press service said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to Vladimir Putin for the message sent and participation of a strong Russian delegation in the solemn events on the occasion of the commissioning of the Kandym gas processing plant in Bukhara.
It was noted that "the high-tech gas processing capacity created jointly with LUKOIL is another vivid example of the strengthening of strategic partnership and alliance ties between the two countries."
The counterparts reportedly exchanged views on the ways to further expand and deepen the Uzbek-Russian multifaceted relations in the context of implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
The President of Uzbekistan reiterated his invitation to the Russian President to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan. The invitation has been accepted with gratitude. The exact dates of the visit will be coordinated through the diplomatic channels.
