During the visit of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Uzbekistan, the two countries reached agreement on holding joint military exercises, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

The two leaders noted with satisfaction the enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense, defense industry, and military-technical cooperation through implementing joint programs and exchange of experience that will also contribute to ensuring regional peace and stability.

The counterparts reportedly spoke in favor of further strengthening cooperation between the defense ministries and the armed forces, further exchanging experience in the field of military education and participation of the servicemen in training programs and drills organized by the other Party.

Also, the heads of state reiterated their determination in the fight against terrorism, extremism, illegal migration by using joint mechanisms.
