Tashkent today hosted the seventh round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Poland, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported. The Polish delegation was led by the Deputy foreign minister Andrzej Papaj.
The sides discussed the state and prospects for advancing the bilateral ties in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other areas and also the ways to enhance high level interactions, expanding interparliamentary exchanges, holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation in Warsaw.
The Polish delegation included business executives interested in establishing contacts with Uzbek partners, with business forums planned in Tashkent and Bukhara. The Uzbek side supported the decision of the Polish side to open a representative office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Tashkent.
