President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed Celebration of Eid al-Fitr Decree Monday in line with which June 15-17 are announced as the public holiday in Uzbekistan.
The decision was taken given the role and importance of Eid ul-Fitr in spiritual life of Uzbekistan, with the aim of preserving and praising national-spiritual values.
The first day of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan month, falls to 15 June. For wide celebration of the holiday, the Uzbek leader announced 15-17 June as the public holiday.
