Uzbekistan Airways, the state-owned airline, is providing airline services to the Colombia national team at the World Cup in Russia, the company said.
The Colombian Football Federation chartered the aircrafts of Uzbekistan Airways for flying the national team and accompanying personnel for the World Cup. In particular, the Uzbek carrier is operating Saransk-Kazan-Samara flights for the group matches of the Colombia team.
Uzbekistan Airways also reportedly flew from Barcelona to Kazan to take the team, administration, fans and the footballers’ familes to the World Cup.
