The Senate at the 15th plenary meeting on Friday appointed Sardor Rustamboev as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to France.

Sardor Rustambaev, 39, graduated from the University of Birmingham, holds a master's degree of the Tashkent Institute of Oriental Studies and the University of London, Ph.D. in Political Science.

From 2000 he worked in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. In 2017-2018, he headed the Foreign Ministry's department for cooperation with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and in May 2018he was in charge of the Department of Global Politics and Security.
