Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul province, Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The parties reportedly discussed the progress of implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov to Uzbekistan (13-14 December 2017) and the future visit the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyayev to Kyrgyzstan to attend the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Kyrgyzstan. The parties also discussed the ways to enhance Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations in political, water, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the prospects for advancing bilateral cooperation.
