Uzbekistan delegation led by Prosecutor General Otabek Murodov attended the 28th meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutor Generals of the CIS countries and the 16th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the SCO member states in Dushanbe Thursday, the Uzbek Prosecutor General Office said.

The parties reportedly issues discussed the ways for joint countering transnational and organized crime, terrorism, extremism and religious and political radicalism.

"Concern was expressed over the escalation of the crises in a number of war-torn countries, the effects of political differences and the deaths of innocent civilians, and the integration of the CIS and SCO member states was identified as an important factor for ensuring security in the territories of states and regions ", the statement said.

Otabek Murodov in his remarks noted that Uzbekistan’s priority goal in this direction is addressing not the consequences but with their root causes.

During the Dushanbe visit, Otabek Murodov held bilateral meetings with delegations from Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, with Cooperation Programs signed with Russia, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
