The Uzbek Senate passed the bill marking the April 5 as the Uzbekistan’s State Security Service (SSS) Day. The deputies underscored that the adoption of the law would contribute to the “enhancing of the military-patriotic, spiritual and moral training of servicemen in the spirit of patriotism, dedication to the service, instilling among servicemen and employees of the sense of professional pride, rallying personnel an boosting the effectiveness of the SSS."
Note: On April 5, 2018 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Uzbekistan’s State Security Service Bill into Law. It was created in place of the National Security Service.
