In Malandiyon makhalla (neigbourhood) in Uzun district of the Surkhandarya province at about 9:30 pm on Tuesday, citizen T.A. found the corpse of the 12-year-old daughter of Sh. A. in the basement of his house with bodily injuries, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The investigations found that on September 25 citizen A. Kh., 29, who was performing refurbishment works in the house of F. Sh., drank vodka with two friends at lunch. At about 2:50 AM A. Kh. went to the house of T.A., where he raped the girl in the basement and deliberately choked her to deat afterwards.
On the next day, the department for investigation of particularly serious crimes under the Surkhandarya province prosecutor office opened a criminal case under Ppremeditated murder under aggravating circumstances charge.
According to the law enforcement agencies, the girl's father, a former school teacher, is currently in Russia as a labor migrant, and his mother was at that was picking cotton.
