Uzbekistan and India may create technology parks for software and innovative products. Uzbekistan is repoterdly planning to cooperate with the Indian Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) to set up platforms for the development of software products.
Indian partners are proposed to consider the possibility of setting up of a technology park in Uzbekistan using the STPI's extensive experience.
Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is a society established in 1991 by the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology with the objective of encouraging, promoting and boosting the export of software from India. STPI maintains internal engineering resources to provide consulting, training and implementation services and provides various benefits to the registered units, including 100% foreign equity, tax incentives, duty-free import, duty-free indigenous procurement, CST reimbursement, DTA entitlement, and deemed exporting.
Uzbekistan and India also signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of the outer space.
According to the agreement, the Uzbek ITs development Ministrywill cooperate with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
