President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today hosted the visiting U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, the presidential press service said.
The first visit by a U.S. Commerce Secretary to Tashkent is timed with the U.S.Business Weekin Tashkent, attended by the senior executives and officals of major U.S. firms , banks and financial institutions.
The sides addressed the progress of implementation of industrial, agriculture, logistics -transport and infrastructure projects.
Wilbur Ross commended the reform effrots in Uzbekistan and conveyed the words of the U.S. President Donald Trump that he fully supports the reforms undertaken under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In Tashkent, Wilbur Ross attended the Uzbek-American Business Forum, organized by the Uzbek Committee on Investments in cooperation with the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce.
