The first Uzbek-Austrian joint faculty opened at the Tashkent Economic University jointly with the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The delegation led by the executive director, Professor Karl Ennsfellner reportedly arrived in Tashkent to attend the opening ceremony.

The faculty will from 2019 admit 100 students for undergraduate studies in Export-Oriented Management", and Management of Tourism and Hotel Business programs.

The classes will be given in English, with graduates getting two diplomas at once, that of TEU and IMC University Krems.

IMC University Krems was founded in 1994 as International Business School. In April 2002, the Austrian government raised the status of the institution and renamed it to University of Applied Sciences of Austria.
