Four children of one family living in Tashkent’s Chilanzar district died from food poisoning. According to the Ministry of Health, on Tuesday evening, Umida Khaitova, 42, brought home 5 skewers of kebab, seasoned with raw onion and vinegar. She served the meal for herself and her children Aziza, 22, Ezoza, 17, Iroda, 15 and Farrukh, 6.

At about 11:30 pm, the children went to bed. At this time, Umida’s husband was at the neighbors' house and returned home at midnight. At that time, Umida Khaitova was having headache and vomited several times.

Later early in the morning, at 4 AM, she went out to have look at the children, who were unconscious, then she called an ambulance. Unfortunately, the children were already dead. Currently, the mother is in hospital.

Currently, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are conducting investigation.
