Tashkent and Moscow are planning to set up a multifunctional migration center of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan. This became known after a delegation of the Uzbek Labor Ministry led by First Deputy Minister Erkin Mukhitdinov held talks in Moscow.
The parties agreed on the fact that this decision would have a positive effect on reducing the flow of illegal migration, will enable labor migrants to enter into legal labor relations with employers, to ensure their social and legal protection before they reach the destination.
"The parties discussed a number of important issues, including the setting up of multifunctional migration center of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan, which will offer services for issuing permits (patents) to Uzbekistan citizens to work in Russia, as well the issue of drafting agreement on reciprocal accounting of work years and pension rights of citizens, also the exchange of databases between the pension funds of the two countries ", - noted in the Ministry of Labor.
The parties agreed to hold the first meeting of the working group on reaching the existing agreements on December 20, 2018 in Tashkent.
The Uzbek delegation also visited the Multifunctional Migration Center, as well as the Sakharovo Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens., where currently 170 citizens of Uzbekistan are being detained. The delegation familiarized itself with the conditions of detention center.
On the same day, the delegation held talks with the rector of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Margarita Rusetskaya and discussed draft agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan and the State Institute of Russian Language.
