Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov yesterday met with the Commissioner in charge of International cooperation and Development Neven Mimica in Brussels.

The parties discussed the ways to further advance multi-dimensional cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, including within the Central Asia–EU format, and noted with satisfaction the upward trend and productive nature of bilateral ties in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other fields. In particular, the sides noted the positive trends in education and training, and considered increasing the number of branches of European universities in Uzbekistan offering Private Law and Medicine programs.

On the same day, the deals were signed as part of which the EU will provide EUR 25 million for the Development of Livestock Sector and Improving the Quality of Public Services by the Judiciary in the Uzbekistan’s Provinces projects.
