On December 29, 2018, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov hosted the Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Başar Şen, who is ending his diplomatic posting in Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed topical issues of the Uzbek-Turkish agenda and emphasized that the highest level visits in 2017 and 2018 gave a new impetus to bilateral ties in all areas.

At present, the sides are preparing for holding the first meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Strategic Cooperation Council in 2019, which will be chaired by the leaders of the two countries.

The parties also exchanged views on the schedule of other upcoming various level bilateral meetings.

The minister Kamilov underscored the ambassador’s fruitful activities and commended his significant contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

The ambassador thanked for the favorable conditions created for the successful fulfillment of his posting in Uzbekistan.
