Migration departments in Tashkent’s 11 districts began to accept documents for issuing international passports as of January 4, Tashkent Migration and Citizenship Department said.

Colonel Badriddin Shorikhsiev, head of the Migration and Citizenship Main Department, said that in five provinces the equipment will be installed by January 7.

As reported earlier, the international passports would be issued by the State Personalization Center under the Cabinet of Ministers within 10 working days from the date of applying, with the validity of the document for adults - 10 years (for children - less). The fee for issuing an international passport is set at 120% of the MW (243,276 soums, or 290 USD).

The two-year exit visa (commonly known as OVIR) has been canceled.
