An explosion which occurred today at about 10:26 in a boiler house in Andijan's central clinic left injured 18 pupils of 9th grade, who were undergoing medical examination, the Ministry of Health said.
The pupils were reportedly hospitalized to the trauma unit of the local branch of the Republican Emergency Center, where they were provided with emergency medical care. After examination, four pupils were transferred to the neuro-intensive care unit, with two of them operated.
Another 10 people received outpatient psychological assistance and were sent home.
The situation is taken under the control of the Ministry of Health. The ministry emphasized that all measures have been taken to provide the necessary assistance to the injured pupils.
