The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of the Chinese President Xi Jinping and will visit China on a working visit on April 24-27 to attend the second Belt and Road Forum, the presidential press service said.
The 40 heads of state, government and international and regional organizations have confirmed their participation. The agenda includes issues of further deepening economic cooperation, enhancing ties in finding new sources of growth, promoting a green economy and innovation, and implementing priority infrastructure projects in the region.
The President will hold bilateral meeting with the Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Li Zhanshu and is expected to discuss topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership ties, as well as the regional and international issues.
On the sidelines of the forum Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold a series of bilateral talks with the heads of foreign countries and international organizations.
